How it works
This geometry unit 1 test review has 46 questions on geometry basics: points, lines and planes, segment addition, midpoints, the distance formula, and angle types and pairs, each with the working shown.

Four sets
Points, lines and planes covers the undefined terms, collinear, coplanar, rays and bisectors. Segments and midpoints solves for x. Midpoint and distance formulas works on coordinates. Angles and angle pairs uses complements, supplements, vertical angles and linear pairs.
Before the test
Practice brings a missed question back until you get it right. After a round, Print lists its questions: remove one, add more up to all 46, and tick With answer key.
- Set up the equation first: a midpoint means AM = MB, a linear pair adds to 180°, vertical angles are equal.
- Midpoint: average the coordinates. Distance: square the differences, add them, take the square root.
- Any three points are coplanar, but they are collinear only when one straight line passes through all three.
Questions and answers
What is on a geometry unit 1 test?
Usually the basics: the undefined terms point, line and plane; segments, rays and midpoints; segment and angle addition; the midpoint and distance formulas; and angle types and pairs. Your course's own list comes first.
What is the difference between complementary and supplementary angles?
Complementary angles add to 90°; supplementary angles add to 180°. Two adjacent supplementary angles on a straight line are a linear pair.
What is the distance formula?
d = √((x₂ − x₁)² + (y₂ − y₁)²). It is the Pythagorean theorem on the horizontal and vertical gaps between the two points.
