A blank map of Argentina, two Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires Province is the largest province, and the City of Buenos Aires, the capital, is a separate unit too small to write in, so it has a ring. The Falkland Islands are drawn as land but not numbered.

  • Students often write Buenos Aires once. Remind them the city and the province are two different numbers on the sheet.

Questions and answers

How many provinces does Argentina have?

Twenty-three, plus the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, which is not a province but governs itself. The map numbers all 24.
