How this list was compiled: The page asks twelve things: the country, Kinshasa and three other cities, four rivers and three lakes. The nine neighbors are in the list so that the map can draw them as land that is not numbered or asked. The ten country names were read on 2026-10-01 in the United Nations list of member states (https://www.un.org/en/about-us/member-states, which prints Congo and United Republic of Tanzania; both are accepted) and at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Republic_of_the_Congo. The United Nations map of the country (Map No. 4007 Rev. 12, October 2019, https://www.un.org/geospatial/content/democratic-republic-congo) prints Kinshasa as the national capital, Lubumbashi, Mbuji-Mayi and Kisangani, the Congo, the Lualaba, the Kasai, the Ubangi and the Uélé, and Lakes Albert, Tanganyika and Mweru; each was also read at its own Wikipedia article the same day. Upstream of Kisangani, to the south, the river is called the Lualaba (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lualaba_River); the map draws it as part of the Congo River and accepts both names. The four rivers are labeled with the word River so that the Congo River cannot be taken for the country, and are written without it on the Named sheet. No province line is drawn: the country has 26 provinces today, the city of Kinshasa among them (the same United Nations map; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2:CD), and the boundary data holds eleven older ones. Blank, numbered or named

The sheet opens blank. Choose Numbered to put a number on the country, the rivers, the lakes and the cities, or Named for their names, then press Print this map. The answer key prints on its own sheet.

One river, two names

The Congo River crosses the country in a wide arc. Upstream of Kisangani, toward the south, the same river is called the Lualaba, and the map draws both as one line.

  • Lake Tanganyika is the long, narrow lake on the eastern border. Lake Albert is north of it and Lake Mweru southwest of it.

Questions and answers

Which countries border the DRC?

Nine: the Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia and Angola. In the west the DRC also reaches the Atlantic Ocean.

What is the capital of the DRC?

Kinshasa. On this map it is the dot on the Congo River in the west of the country.

Which rivers and lakes are on the blank map of the DRC?

Four rivers: the Congo, the Kasai, the Ubangi and the Uele. Three lakes: Albert and Tanganyika on the eastern border and Mweru on the border with Zambia.

Does this map show the provinces of the DRC?

No. The DRC has 26 provinces today, counting the capital city, Kinshasa. The public-domain boundary data holds only eleven older provinces, so the sheet shows the country as one outline.

Is the DRC the same country as the Republic of the Congo?

No. They are two different countries. The Republic of the Congo is the neighbor to the west and is drawn lightly on this map, without a number.
