How this list was compiled: The ten provinces of Zimbabwe, today's list; two of them, Harare and Bulawayo, are cities with the status of a province. The count and every name were read on 2026-10-01 in section 267 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe (as printed at https://www.constituteproject.org/constitution/Zimbabwe_2017, which calls the two cities Bulawayo Metropolitan Province and Harare Metropolitan Province; both forms are accepted), in ISO 3166-2:ZW as Wikipedia prints it (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2:ZW) and at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_of_Zimbabwe. The lines were tested the same day against the boundary data: 63 towns fall in the right shape, and none of the eight larger provinces differs from the area in Wikipedia's table by more than 5 percent. Lake Kariba, on the border with Zambia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Kariba), is drawn as open water. The neighboring countries are land that is not numbered or asked. Questions and answers

How many provinces does Zimbabwe have?

Ten. Eight are provinces in the usual sense, and two, Harare and Bulawayo, are cities with the status of a province. The constitution lists all ten, and this map numbers them.

What is the largest province of Zimbabwe?

Matabeleland North, in the west. Its capital is Lupane, and Victoria Falls is its largest town.

Which countries border Zimbabwe?

Four. Zambia lies to the north, Mozambique to the east, South Africa to the south and Botswana to the southwest. Zimbabwe is landlocked, so the outline has no coast. The neighbors are drawn as plain land, without names.

What is the lake on the map of Zimbabwe?

Lake Kariba, a reservoir on the Zambezi that borders Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is drawn as open water, and the line through it is the border between the two countries.
