How it works
This Algeria blank map shows the outline of the country with no lines inside it, a dot for Algiers, six neighboring countries and the Mediterranean Sea. Numbered and Named label all nine.

Blank, numbered or named
The sheet opens blank. Choose Numbered to put a number on Algeria, Algiers, the sea and the six neighbors, or Named for their names, then press Print this map; the answer key prints on its own sheet.
Round the border
Clockwise from the coast: Tunisia in the northeast, Libya in the east, Niger in the southeast, Mali and Mauritania in the southwest and Morocco in the west. Western Sahara, a sliver of land at the left edge between Morocco and Mauritania, is drawn but not numbered.
- Five of the six neighbors run off the edge of the sheet: the map is cut close so that Algeria fills it.
Questions and answers
Which countries border Algeria?
Six countries: Tunisia to the northeast, Libya to the east, Niger to the southeast, Mali and Mauritania to the southwest and Morocco to the west. Western Sahara, a disputed territory, touches the western tip. The Mediterranean Sea is to the north.
What is the capital of Algeria?
Algiers, on the Mediterranean coast. It is also the largest city in the country, and it is the dot on this map.
How many provinces does Algeria have?
Sixty-nine. Eleven new ones were announced in November 2025 and set in law in April 2026. It had 58 from 2019 and 48 before that. This map draws no provinces, because its map source still has the 48 of before 2019.
Why is Western Sahara not numbered?
Some borders on this map are disputed. The map follows Natural Earth, a public-domain map source, and does not take a side. Western Sahara is drawn as that source draws it and is left without a number.
