How this list was compiled: Items made on 2026-10-01; ids, points and accepted spellings are Natural Earth's, without the old German, Polish and Russian names of the towns. The ten counties are today's units: the count and every name were compared on 2026-10-01 with the NUTS 2024 list of Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, in which the ten counties are Lithuania's level 3 regions (https://gisco-services.ec.europa.eu/distribution/v2/nuts/csv/NUTS_AT_2024.csv), with the list of ISO 3166-2 codes for Lithuania as Wikipedia prints it (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2:LT) and with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counties_of_Lithuania, all read 2026-10-01. Blank, numbered or named
The sheet opens blank. Choose Numbered to put a number on each of the ten counties, or Named for their names, then press Print this map; the answer key prints on its own sheet.
Counties named for cities
Every county carries the name of its main city, so the finished sheet also shows where ten Lithuanian cities are. Vilnius County, around the capital, is the largest shape. Klaipėda County holds the coast, with the thin Curonian Spit drawn beside it.
Typed answers without Lithuanian letters count: Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys are right in the quiz.
