Blank, numbered or named
The sheet opens blank. Choose Numbered to put a number on Qatar, Doha and the Persian Gulf, or Named for their names, then press Print this map. Print the answer key gives the names on a sheet of their own.
What the map draws
Qatar is the peninsula in the middle. Saudi Arabia is the land to the south and along the left edge, and the island country to the northwest is Bahrain. Both are drawn lightly and carry no numbers. Qatar has eight municipalities, but the map source draws older lines than today's, so the inside of the country is left empty.
- The Gulf has two names in use. The map prints Persian Gulf; the other name is Arabian Gulf.
Questions and answers
Which countries border Qatar?
Only Saudi Arabia, to the south, shares a land border with Qatar. Bahrain is the island country across the water to the northwest. On this map both are drawn lightly, without numbers.
What is the capital of Qatar?
Doha, on the east coast of the peninsula. On this map it is the dot on the coast, and on the Numbered sheet it carries a number of its own.
What sea is around Qatar?
The Persian Gulf, which is also called the Arabian Gulf. It lies around the peninsula on the west, north and east.
Does this map show the municipalities of Qatar?
No. Qatar has had eight municipalities since Al-Shahaniya was split from Al Rayyan in 2014. The map source draws older lines, so the sheet shows Qatar as one outline to write and draw on.
