Print it blank, numbered or named
The sheet opens blank. Choose Numbered for a number on each country or Named for the names, then press Print this map. Print the answer key gives the names on a sheet of its own. Bahrain and Cyprus are too small to write on, so each has a ring beside it.
A Middle East map quiz on the same map
Press Quiz yourself on this map and the page names one country at a time for you to tap. Saudi Arabia is the largest shape and Iran the second, so learn those two first and work outward to the small states on the Gulf.
- Lists of the Middle East differ. If your class list leaves out Cyprus or Egypt, tell students to skip those two numbers.
Questions and answers
Which countries are on this blank Middle East map?
Sixteen are numbered: Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen. No single list of the Middle East is agreed, so your textbook may differ.
Is this also a blank map of Southwest Asia?
Nearly. Southwest Asia, also called West Asia, runs from Turkey to Iran and Yemen and takes in fifteen of these sixteen countries. Most of Egypt is in Africa; it is here because lists of the Middle East include it.
Why are Palestine and Northern Cyprus not numbered?
Some borders on this map are disputed. Disputed areas are shown but not asked. The map numbers member states of the United Nations. Palestine, an observer state there, and Northern Cyprus are drawn as the map source draws them, without a number.
Can I print an outline map of the Middle East with no borders?
Not from this page. The country borders are part of the drawing, so every version prints them. Printed blank, it is the outline of each country with no names or numbers.
