How the quiz works
Each question names one island. Tap it on the map; you get two tries, then the island is shown with its name. Kahoolawe is small, so it also carries a ring at the end of a short line, and a tap on the ring counts.
The chain from northwest to southeast
The islands lie in a line. Niihau and Kauai are at the northwest end, then Oahu, then Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Maui close together, and the island of Hawaii alone at the southeast end.
- Molokai is the long island north of Lanai; Kahoolawe is the small one southwest of Maui.
- Maui County takes in four islands: Maui, Lanai, Kahoolawe and most of Molokai.
