The drawing: Drawn for this site on 2026-10-05 by script, from plain geometry: one six-panel cap held as a small model (a domed crown on an oval opening, six seams, a button, an eyelet in each panel, a curved bill, a round badge with a star, an arched opening with a snap strap) and shown in two projections, so the two views agree. From the side
The crown is usually sewn from six panels that meet at the button on top. Near the top of each panel is an eyelet to let air in. The logo sits on the front, and the stiff bill sticks out to shade the eyes.
From behind
An adjustable cap has a closure at the back, such as a snap strap of holes and prongs, elastic or a buckled strap. A fitted cap has none: it comes in sizes.
Bill, brim, peak and visor all name the same part: the stiff front that shades your eyes.
