How this list was compiled: Every word was read on 2026-10-03 in two dictionaries: the Spanish-English dictionary of WordReference (https://www.wordreference.com/es/en/translation.asp?spen= followed by the word) and SpanishDict (https://www.spanishdict.com/translate/ followed by the word). Both give the gender and the meaning used here for nacimiento (birth), niñez (childhood), adolescencia (adolescence), juventud (youth), madurez (maturity), vejez (old age), muerte (death), cumpleaños (birthday), graduación (graduation), boda (wedding), jubilación (retirement) and infancia (childhood). WordReference marks cumpleaños as invariable, the same word for one birthday and for several, and the English Wiktionary gives its plural as cumpleaños. WordReference glosses niñez as infancia and infancia as the period of la niñez, graduación as the handing over of a degree or title, boda as the ceremony and the party, and jubilación as leaving working life. The order of the stages: the Internet Archive copies of the Diccionario de la lengua española (adolescencia, the period that follows la niñez and precedes la juventud, https://web.archive.org/web/20220119161509/https://dle.rae.es/adolescencia; juventud, the period that immediately precedes la madurez, https://web.archive.org/web/20230928160913/https://dle.rae.es/juventud; madurez, the period in which a person has reached full development and has not yet reached la vejez, https://web.archive.org/web/20210509021704/https://dle.rae.es/madurez; niñez, from birth to puberty, https://web.archive.org/web/20241218022423/https://dle.rae.es/ni%C3%B1ez; vejez, https://web.archive.org/web/20240619210754/https://dle.rae.es/vejez), read 2026-10-03; dle.rae.es itself refuses automated reading. A second reading of the order the same day: the Spanish definitions of WordReference (https://www.wordreference.com/definicion/ followed by the word: adolescencia follows la niñez, madurez comes before la vejez, vejez is the last period of life) and the Spanish Wiktionary (madurez: the age after la juventud and before la vejez; adolescencia: between la niñez and adult age), read through the shared reader. Those two let la adolescencia and la juventud overlap (WordReference starts la juventud at puberty); the line follows the academies' dictionary, which sets one before the other, and the page says so. How a round goes

The prompt names a stage in Spanish, such as la juventud. Tap or click its figure or its empty box. A wrong tap shows you the right place.

The order on the line

The academies' dictionary puts la adolescencia after la niñez and before la juventud, and la madurez before la vejez. The line ends at la muerte, a bar with no picture.

Type the Spanish word instead

In More options, pick Name it. A place lights up and you choose its Spanish name from four, or type it. Niñez alone counts for la niñez, and so does la infancia.

  • El nacimiento is the only masculine stage on the line. The other six take la.
  • Print blank gives the timeline with numbered lines, and the other print button gives the key.
