How this list was compiled: Every label and every other word named here was read on 2026-09-30 in two dictionaries: the Spanish-English dictionary of WordReference (https://www.wordreference.com/es/en/translation.asp?spen= followed by the word) and SpanishDict (https://www.spanishdict.com/translate/ followed by the word). Both give the gender and the body meaning of cabeza, pelo, cabello, ojo, oreja, oído, nariz, boca, cuello, hombro, pecho, brazo, codo, muñeca, mano, dedo, estómago, barriga, panza, vientre, pierna, rodilla, tobillo, pie and cuerpo. WordReference defines la oreja as the outer part of the ear and el oído as the inner ear and the sense of hearing, el dedo as a finger or a toe, and gives la barriga and la panza for the English word tummy (https://www.wordreference.com/es/translation.asp?tranword=tummy); SpanishDict has el dedo del pie, toe, as an entry of its own (https://www.spanishdict.com/translate/dedo%20del%20pie). The wording of every line is our own. Licence: own work

The drawing: The site's own drawing of 2026-09-20, made for label-the-body-parts, used here unchanged. Own work: nothing was traced or copied. Licence: own work

Questions and answers

How do you say parts of the body in Spanish?

Las partes del cuerpo. El cuerpo is the body. SpanishDict gives the example El póster muestra las partes del cuerpo: the poster shows the parts of the body.

Is it el mano or la mano?

La mano. Hand is a feminine noun in Spanish although it ends in o, so it is la mano and las manos. Both dictionaries read for this page mark it feminine.

What is the difference between oreja and oído?

La oreja is the outer ear, the part you can see and the one on this drawing. El oído is the ear inside the head and the sense of hearing. That is how WordReference defines the two words.

How do you say toes in Spanish?

Los dedos del pie: word for word, the fingers of the foot. El dedo on its own can be a finger or a toe.

Is the stomach el estómago or la barriga?

El estómago is the standard word. La barriga and la panza are informal, like tummy or belly in English, and el vientre is the belly or abdomen. All four count here.
