How this list was compiled: Countries, outlines and seas: Natural Earth 5.1.2 (credited under the drawing). The rim countries are every country with a coast on the Pacific or one of the listed seas between Russia and Chile; the island countries are the eleven independent island states of Oceania other than Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, as the UN M49 standard files them under Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia, https://unstats.un.org/unsd/methodology/m49/overview/, read 2026-09-24. How it works
This blank map of the Pacific puts the ocean in the middle, so it is not cut in two: 25 countries around the rim, 11 island countries and 11 seas. Print it blank, numbered or named, with an answer key.

A world map with the Pacific in the middle
Most world maps are centred near Europe and split the Pacific at the edges. This one is centred on 160°W, so Asia and Australia sit on the left, the Americas on the right, and the 180th meridian runs down the middle.
Small places
Nineteen places are too small to write on, from Nauru and Tuvalu to El Salvador and the Korean peninsula. Their numbers sit in rings joined by a line. The answer key gives each country's capital.
