The continents are those of Natural Earth, which files Russia under Europe and Turkey and Kazakhstan under Asia. Every shape that is not one of the 110, among them every flagged or disputed shape, is drawn and never asked. Positions in the hints were read off the drawing. How it works
This map of Earth prints blank, with every country's border and no names. Switch to numbers for a world map assignment: the 110 largest countries carry a number to write against. The named map is the answer key.

A black and white world map print
The sheet is drawn in thin black lines on white, so it copies cleanly on any school printer. It prints landscape and, being drawn as lines, stays sharp from a letter page to a poster.
The map of the world blackline, numbered
Choose Numbers and the 110 largest countries get a number, Africa's 39 among them. The 66 smallest, from Andorra to Tuvalu, are dots, too small to write on. Antarctica is left off the sheet.
For a first test, print Numbered and ask one continent at a time: Africa has 39 of the 110 numbers, Europe 18.
Questions and answers
How many countries are there in the world?
The United Nations has 193 member states, plus two observer states, the Holy See and Palestine. This map draws every country's border and numbers the 110 largest; the smallest are dots.
Is this a high quality blank world map?
Yes. It prints from lines, not a picture, so the borders stay sharp on letter, A4 or a poster-size sheet. It uses the Equal Earth projection, which keeps every country's true size.
Why does Greenland look smaller than on other world maps?
Many classroom maps use the Mercator projection, which swells places near the poles. Equal Earth keeps areas true, so Greenland is shown at about one fourteenth of Africa's size, as it really is.
Can I print the map with country names on it?
Yes. Choose Named, then press Print this map. The 110 largest countries print with their names; the 66 smallest stay as dots, too small to name at this size.
