How it works
This human body systems worksheet is a bank of 114 questions on the eleven organ systems. One set names an organ and asks which system it belongs to. One gives a job and asks which system does it. The third describes something the body does and asks which two systems are working together. Answer on screen, or print two write-in sheets, a reference sheet and the key.

Three sets: organs, jobs and teamwork
Which system is this organ in has 65 questions. It takes 53 organs in turn, from the skin to the testes, then turns the question around: which of these four organs is part of the lymphatic system? Which system does this job has 27 questions that start from the work, such as making blood cells or returning leaked fluid to the blood. Which two systems work together has 22 short scenes, from bending an elbow to shivering. That third set is the body system interactions worksheet on this page.
Organs that belong to two systems
The source for this page says that assigning organs to systems can be imprecise, because most organs contribute to more than one. The pancreas makes digestive enzymes and also the hormones insulin and glucagon. The ovaries and the testes make gametes and release hormones. The pharynx carries both air and food. Where an organ serves two systems, only one of them appears among the four choices, so no question has two right answers. The note after the answer names the other system.
Printing: two write-in sheets, a reference sheet and a key
Under the quiz are four sheets, each with its own print button. Name the system lists 22 organs, two from each system, then 11 jobs, with a line to write on beside every row. Systems working together gives 12 scenes with two blanks each, then two questions to answer in a sentence. The reference sheet sets out all eleven systems with their main organs and jobs, and the key covers both sheets. The whole set, in the Sheet to print menu, gives one full set as multiple choice, with a bubble sheet and a short key.
- If integumentary is a new word, tie it to skin. The system is the skin plus hair, nails, sweat glands and oil glands.
- Learn the spleen, the thymus and the tonsils together with the lymph nodes. All four are lymphatic, and only the nodes say so in the name.
- The four sheets are this page's body system worksheets for paper. Give out the reference sheet after the write-in sheet, so students can mark their own work.
- A wrong answer waits in the missed pile until you get it right. Clear the pile the next day, before a new round.
- Exam draws 20 questions from all three sets and runs a 15 minute clock. There is no pass mark, only a score and your weakest set.
Questions and answers
How many body systems are there?
This worksheet uses eleven: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive. That is the list in OpenStax Anatomy and Physiology 2e, which places immune defense under the lymphatic system. Other books group a few systems differently, so you may see another count. If your class uses a different list, follow your teacher's.
Does this organ system worksheet come with answers?
Yes. Every question shows the right choice and a short reason once you check it, with the section of the source it was checked against. The full list under the quiz gives all 114 answers, and the two write-in sheets have their own key. The page does not hold the key to a worksheet from your textbook or another publisher.
Why does the key accept two answers for the ovaries?
Because both are right. The ovaries produce egg cells, which is reproductive work, and they release hormones into the blood, which is endocrine work. The source lists them under both systems, and the testes and the pancreas are in the same position. On paper a student can write either system. On screen only one of the two is offered, so the choice is never a trap.
Are these body system games?
Not quite. Human body systems games usually have lives, levels or characters, and this quiz has none. It does keep a score, and it saves the questions you miss.
Can I save the sheets as a PDF?
Yes. Press Print this sheet under any of the four sheets, then choose Save as PDF in your browser's print window. Each sheet saves as its own file, and the multiple-choice question sheet and its answer key save the same way. The name and date lines on the write-in sheets stay blank for the student.
