Questions and answers
What are the parts of a snowman?
Often three snowballs: a head, a body and a bottom snowball. The face is made of small things pushed into the snow, such as coal for the eyes and mouth and a carrot for the nose. Sticks make the arms.
What is a snowman's nose made of?
Traditionally a carrot, pushed into the head so that the pointed end sticks out. The eyes are traditionally lumps of coal or small stones.
What does a snowman wear?
Whatever its builders lend it. A hat and a scarf are the usual clothes, and the hat is often drawn as a top hat. This one also has a mitten on the end of each stick arm.
What is a top hat?
A tall hat with a brim, worn by men on some formal occasions, especially in the past. Snowmen are often shown in one.
