Questions and answers
What are the names of clothes?
This worksheet names twelve: T-shirt, shirt, sweater, jacket, pants, shorts, skirt, dress, socks, shoes, cap and pajamas.
What is the difference between a shirt and a T-shirt?
A shirt usually has a collar and fastens down the front with buttons. A T-shirt is a soft top, usually with short sleeves and no collar.
Is it pants or trousers?
Both name the piece of clothing that covers you from the waist to the feet, with a separate part for each leg. Pants is the American word and trousers the British one.
Is it sweater or jumper?
They name the same thing: a warm top with long sleeves. Sweater is the American word and jumper the British one.
What are pajamas?
Soft, loose clothes worn in bed: a top and a pair of pants. The British spelling, which starts with py, is accepted in the quiz too.
