Five regions from the United Nations list
This Asia countries quiz uses the five regions of the United Nations list: Central Asia (5), Eastern Asia (5), South-Eastern Asia (11), Southern Asia (9) and Western Asia (17). Iran is filed under Southern Asia. For an Asia geography quiz at school, start with Central Asia: five countries and no rings. Two players can make any region an Asian countries map game, since each round keeps score and time.
Twelve rings, seven of them in one corner
Twelve countries are too small to tap, so each has a numbered ring, with Bahrain, the Maldives and Singapore drawn as dots. Seven of the twelve are in Western Asia, so on a phone pick that region first. Miss five, and Practise the 5 you missed asks them again.
Central Asia: Kazakhstan is the wide one on top, Turkmenistan touches the Caspian Sea, and Kyrgyzstan sits north of Tajikistan beside China.
Mainland Southeast Asia, west to east: Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam. Cambodia sits south of Laos.
Down the Arabian shore of the Persian Gulf: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, then Oman. Bahrain is the island off the Saudi coast.
