Truck, Trailer, Train and Bike Parts: Diagrams to Label and Print

One vehicle per page, a numbered ring on every part, and the name a rule book, a manual or a parts counter uses for it.

61 pages

Trains and aircraft 14

A diesel locomotive, a steam one and their cars, a plane with its wing, cockpit and landing gear, a helicopter, a hot air balloon, a drone and a launch rocket, named as a museum or flying club expects.

Boats and ships 3

A cruise ship side-on, with the sea cut away to show what sits under the waterline: the bulbous bow, the bow thruster, the propeller and the rudder. An anchor is drawn on its chain.

Trucks and buses 10

Tanker, fire, tow, cement, dump, box and garbage trucks, each a cab with a different body behind it, a pickup, a semi-trailer and a school bus.

Trailers and towing 11

The hitches that join truck and trailer, from the receiver to the fifth wheel, then a trailer jack and the trailers: utility, cargo, horse, boat, gooseneck and camper.

Bikes, karts and scooters 20

Bike and BMX bike, their frame, fork, wheel, tire, crankset, pedal, brake, derailleur and pump, a tricycle, then motorcycle, dirt bike, mini bike, go-kart, scooters and a snowmobile.

Horse-drawn vehicles 3

A sleigh, a wagon and a carriage, with the older words a museum label or a history unit uses.

Each page is one vehicle, or one assembly from a vehicle, as a line drawing with a numbered ring on every part worth naming. Find a part by name, name the ring that lights up, or switch to Study and read what each part does.

More about these tools

Missed parts come back, and every drawing prints blank or labeled.

The pages differ in who needs the words. Train, helicopter, balloon and drone are school and club material. The truck pages name what a driver or a buyer points to. The trailer pages start at the hitch, because a parts counter asks whether you mean the receiver, the ball mount or the coupler. The bike pages run from a BMX bike and a single wheel to the mini bike, the go-kart and the kick scooter. Every name was checked against at least two published references on the date the page shows.
